Dynamic MMA’s Bastien Huveneers (8-3-1) has inked a big return to mixed martial arts. Thursday he signed a multi-fight deal with Battlefield Fight League and will fight another Canadian star to be named later this week at BFL 7 at the Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
Thursday, Huveneers told Battlefield, “”I love to train and I love to fight its part of my life I could not live without it.”
The event will feature a soon to be announced major main event involving Canadian star Denis Kang.
Huveneers’ matchup at Battlefield 7 will mark his return to middleweight after a one fight stint fighting at 205. The Belgian-born is undefeated as a Middleweight since 2006, compiling 5 consecutive victories in that span.
Huveneers moved to Light heavyweight because he was offered a fight against Robert Drysdale in that division, but never wore 205 pounds confidently. He looked gaunt at weigh-ins and fought with diminished intensity.
At middleweight, however, Huveneers bulldozed through 3 consecutive stoppage victories over Marcus Vinicios (4-6), Jamie Palou (2-3) and Dave Kelly (6-3).
“All the Dynamic fighters are excited to see this new “pro” Battlefield shine, I have great training partners at Dynamic, I am training hard and I will be more than ready for my Battlefield Debut. “

How did he look gaunt moving up in weight? He didn’t cut any weight and couldn’t be more healthy for a weigh in. He just got beat by a superior fighter. I get your trying to make him look good but he already is good not great though.
